RYLAND BUILDING LARGE MODEL AT GREY HAWK LANDING

Ryland Homes has started construction of a model home at Grey Hawk Landing, off S.R. 64 east of Interstate 75 in east Manatee County.

The Inverness model has 2,840 square feet with four bedrooms and three and one-half baths. It is Ryland's largest model at Grey Hawk Landing.

Tony Crimi, vice president of sales and marketing for Ryland Homes in the Tampa Bay, Sarasota-Manatee area, said the model has a large kitchen with a breakfast nook and counter facing the dining room, a family room, living room, game room and screened-in extended lanai for family living and entertaining.

The Inverness is expected to be open in mid-April.

Ryland plans to build 40 new three- and four-bedroom homes at Grey Hawk Landing that start at 1,853 square feet and are priced from the low $200,000s.

TAYLOR MORRISON BEGINS SALES AT ESPLANADE BY SIESTA KEY

It started with Esplanade, an "active-adult" community in Lakewood Ranch. Now Taylor Morrison has moved around enough dirt to begin sales on home sites at its next location in the franchise: Esplanade by Siesta Key.

The gated community of 247 lots will have five models, with "California Tuscan" architecture, of 1,673 to 2,843 square feet with two or three bedrooms, and up to three and half baths, two-car garages from the upper $200,000s.

The 77-acre development is in the Gulf Gate area of Sarasota, two miles from Siesta Beach. Taylor Morrison is promoting "an active lifestyle community with resort-style amenities," such as a clubhouse with fitness center and library, a heated lagoon pool and spa, walking trails, sports courts and a pet park.

Lawn care and exterior home maintenance are proposed to be included.

NEAL OPENS MODELS AT BOCA ROYALE

Neal Communities has opened a model center at Boca Royale Golf & Country Club in Englewood. Four models are open: the Windsong and Endless Summer 2 houses, part of the Cove Series; and the Tidewater and Crystal Sand paired villas, in the Coral Series.

Said David Hunihan, director of sales for Neal Communities, "The timing is perfect and the location is ideal, being close to Manasota and Englewood beaches, shopping and all of the amenities in Englewood and Venice."

Seven floor plans range in size from 1,434 to 2,367 square feet.

The Lakewood Ranch-based builder purchased the undeveloped land within the 800-acre golf-club community last year, including 500 lots. Located off State Road 776 in north Englewood, Boca Royale has an 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse, restaurant, tennis club, and 400 acres of wetlands. Boca Royale has been in development since 1977 and has 600 residents.

Neal is "rejuvenating" the country club facilities and fitness center.
