The Junior League of Sarasota presents a home tour called Simply Sarasota Entertainment on Friday, March 22 (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), and Saturday, March 23 (10 a.m.to 4 p.m.).

A quartet of decorated residences aims to demonstrate the various creative ways homeowners in our area entertain. Tickets are $20 and available at any of the homes. A contemporary residence at 1855 Orchid St., dubbed Happily Ever After, will be staged for an engagement/wedding party and baby shower.

Tour-goers can expect demonstrations on how to create party favors, arrange flowers and do calligraphy. Sample desserts from the Junior League Cookbook.

At 320 Calle Miramar is the Wines Around the World station, where wines from the United States, New Zealand and South Africa will be poured. Asian and tropical décor is by interior designer Cheryl Gaddie. High Tea awaits 1459 Bay Point Drive, a waterfront home that will feature a formal dinner and tea experience. Participants will become mini-experts on place setting etiquette, napkin folding and soiree planning.

The lavish bayside estate at 3336 Old Oak Drive sets the stage for Family Heritage and features outdoor festivities under a canopy of oak trees. Tour participants will learn how to plan children's birthday parties, graduation celebrations and backyard barbecues.

Cupcake decorating, gift bag stuffing and cookie swapping will be among the festivities.
