Built in 1994 and recently remodeled, it has four bedrooms and six full bathrooms in 5,170 square feet of air-conditioned area. Including terraces that afford sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico, the apartment totals 8,575 square feet.

The sellers were Michael and Joanne Masin. Loeffler would not reveal their names of the buyers, a younger couple from New England who took title in a trust.

According to county property appraiser records, the previous Sarasota condominium sale record price was $6,214,000 paid in June 2008 for a penthouse in Orchid Beach Club on Lido Key. Loeffler also had that listing. The contract price was $6.9 million, but that included furnishings.
