The sale is the fifth highest-priced residential transaction in Sarasota County this year.

Jon Fox of Michael Saunders & Co. represented the buyers.

Loeffler had both sides of a record $6.75 million condo sale on Longboat Key in April.

Other top sales this year: $10 million for a house on north Siesta Key, $7 million for a house in Sarasota's Harbor Acres and $6.35 million for a house in Lido Shores on Lido Key.
