$4m penthouse sale at Tower Residences

A penthouse in the Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, sold today at $4 million.

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate's Judy Kepecz-Hays brought in the buyer of the 5,275-square-foot unit. Beth Afflebach and Joan Dickinson from Michael Saunders & Company were the listing agents.

Kepecz-Hays is familiar with the unit, No. 1702. She sold it in 2003 for $3.06 million, then again in March 2007 for $4.45 million to Mark and Barbara Fried.

It has three bedrooms, four full baths, one one half bath, a library/office, and three terraces with views of the Ringling Bridge, bay, marina and city. Amenities include a theater, fitness center, massage room on the third-floor amenity level, and 24-hour hotel room service.

This is the first unit this year that has sold in The Tower Residences — two are pending and 10 are for sale. Since 2007 there have been four penthouses that sold. The most recent was in April 2011 that closed for $4 million.
