The local building industry’s resurgence is evident in the opening of new model homes by several builders:
• Bruce Williams Homes’ Blue Cypress model is open in Winding River at 14205 9th Terrace N.E., Bradenton, just off Upper Manatee River Road.

The builder is partnering with Scout Boats to include a boat, motor and trailer for each of BW’s first four purchasers in Winding River. President Britt Williams said, “It enables our first four clients to take advantage of Winding River’s private boat launch.”

Winding River has 107 acres on the banks of the Manatee River, with 62 large home sites. Residents have a private, residents-only boat launch.

Houses range from 2,600 to 5,000 square feet with prices from the low $400,000s. The model is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily and noon to 5 Sunday.

• Ashton Woods Homes has four ready-to-move-in homes in its first phase at The Links at Rosedale, off Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and 44th Avenue West in Bradenton.

Michael Roche, vice president of sales and marketing for Ashton Woods Homes said the ready-to-move-in homes are priced from the high $300,000s and range from 2,107 to 2,414 square feet.

Forty-three home sites are available in the first phase at Rosedale. Ashton Woods Homes has three furnished models there.
• Lee Wetherington Homes has a new model at Central Park at Lakewood Ranch, and is introducing a new floor plan. The Baypointe has 2,750 square feet with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a bonus room, den and a great-room design.

“This floor plan highlights the outdoor living area,” said Peter Mason, vice president of sales and marketing for the Lakewood Ranch-based company. “The oversized, covered lanai, with expansive outdoor kitchen and pool area, can be seen from all of the main living areas inside the home. It brings the outdoors in.”

The Baypointe has several options for customization. Home buyers can opt for a single-story version, turn the third garage bay into a workshop, or make the den into a fourth bedroom.
• Medallion Home has completed two new models in Gamble Creek Estates & Preserve in Parrish, along Golf Course Road. Medallion Home is developing three communities in Parrish.

Buyers may customize the new Aruba and Barbados 2400 XII models.

The Aruba model now has a three-car garage, a bonus room with pool bath, and an enlarged lanai. The Barbados 2400 model reveals the newly introduced XII series. The new series has larger bedrooms, tray ceilings, and improvements in the over flow. Base prices start at $245,400.
