2014 HISTORIC HOMES TOUR IS SUNDAY

The Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation will hold its annual Historic Homes Tour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Washington Park section of Laurel Park, south of downtown.

Nine houses and one office building are featured on Oak Street, Madison Court and South Orange Avenue.

Free parking will be available at Crissy Galleries, 640 S. Washington Blvd., and the Senior Friendship Center, 1899 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota.

Tickets may be purchased for a donation of $20 on the website historicsarasota.org, at the houses on the day of the tour, or in advance at:
• Historic Spanish Point, 337 N. Tamiami Trail, Osprey.
• Davidson Drugs, 1281 S. Tamiami Trail, 5124 Ocean Blvd. and 6595 Midnight Pass Road.

ANNA MARIA HOME TOUR IS MARCH 15

The 21st Annual Anna Maria Island Tour of Homes will held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15. Tickets are $20 and will be available at various ticket outlets starting March 1. Information: islandcommunitycenter.com.

The tour will include select island properties in Holmes Beach and Anna Maria. The homes reflect various styles of island living and provide participants with ideas for interior decorating and entertainment.

The Boutique offers original arts and crafts, culinary delights, as well as chances to win a handmade quilt created by the Eyeland Needlers. All proceeds benefit the Anna Maria Island Community Center, which serves local children, families and seniors with programs and services.

NEW SECTION AT VENETIAN

WCI Communities has introduced Palazzo II, a new neighborhood of single-family Classic Series homes at Venetian Golf & River Club.

Palazzo II has 55 sites overlooking lakes and nature preserves. It is close to Venetian’s 70-acre riverfront Nature Park. Designed as a loop, the neighborhood has two entrances and a cul-de-sac with two oversized sites.

Home buyers can select from four Classic Series homes, including Venetian’s largest floor plan, the Donatello, with 2,986 square feet. Classic Series homes are priced from $313,990.
