eal Communities and John Cannon Homes each won three “best overall” awards in the 2014 Manatee-Sarasota BIA Parade of Homes design competition. The awards were presented Thurdsay night at the Lakewood Ranch Country Club. Taylor Morrison had two “best overall” awards, as did Lee Wetherington Homes. Heritage Builders, Lennar, John Neal Homes, Homes by Towne, Todd Johnston Homes, Allegra Homes, Nutter Custom Construction, Arthur Rutenberg Homes/Nelson Homes, Medallion Home and London Bay Homes each won one “best overall” award. The models were grouped in categories by price range. In the subcontractor categories, Coast to Coast Pools and Trent Culleny Landscape Contractor dominated. Classic Homes by Clayton won the award for the most energy-efficient house. The Parade of Homes concludes today at new-home developments throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties. The awards:
