WCI Communities has purchased 150 home sites in Rosedale, a golf course-community on S.R. 70 near Lakewood Ranch.

WCI bought 93 sites from Newton Developments Inc., the developer of Rosedale, and 57 sites from M/I Homes, all within The Links at Rosedale.

The purchase prices were not disclosed.

WCI will start building houses there in August, including the Key Largo and Martinique models, which will house the sales office.

Sales of the Grand Villa series will begin in October. WCI will offer five single-story floor plans with two and three bedrooms in 1,849 to 2,506 square feet of living space, with large owner's suites. Three exterior elevations are available, with attached two-car garages and screened lanais.
