WARM MINERAL SPRINGS BUS TOUR AT 10 A.M. TODAY
Warm Mineral Springs has been in the news lately as the City of North Port and Sarasota County decide who will operate the springs and its surrounding resort.
The Sarasota Architectural Foundation will present a tour of Warm Mineral Springs today, featuring New York architect Jifat Windmiller, a champion of the tourist magnet.
The bus tour is from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., leaving from the Sarasota Visitor Information Center, 701 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. There were 22 seats unsold as of the Thursday deadline for this section. Tickets may be purchased at the bus.

“Warm Mineral Springs (is) one of the most intriguing natural features in the continental United States. This tour is SAF’s first to the North Port area, and promises to be special in many ways. Architect Jifat Windmiller, RA, of the New York firm Penta Windmiller Architecture, will present an in-depth look at the midcentury modern architecture of North Port (NoPoMo), highlighting Warm Mineral Springs and its unique ‘Cyclorama.’ ”

D.R. HORTON REVS UP AT LEGENDS BAY IN WEST BRADENTON
D.R. Horton has resumed new home sales at Legends Bay in Bradenton, with a new model opening in late December. The builder’s Premier and Estate series homes there will range in size from 2,045 to 4,363 square feet.
The Bedford will be the model. It has two stories with a downstairs master suite in 2,592 square feet, with four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a loft.
Legends Bay is a gated community at the northern edge of Sarasota Bay near IMG Academy.

HOLLY DAYS TOUR IS DEC. 6-7
The Punta Gorda Garden Club’s 20th annual Holly Days Home Tour, “A Tropical Holiday to Remember,” will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 6-7 in the Punta Gorda Historic District.
The tour will visit four houses from the historic district, as well as the 1912 First United Methodist Church.
Tickets are $15 from club members or at the Charlotte County and Punta Gorda Chambers of Commerce offices. On tour days, tickets will be offered at the church and at each home.
