SAF FOCUSES ON LOUIS KAHN
The Sarasota Architectural Foundation’s Lecture Series features Robert Cassway, AIA, an award-winning architect and fine-art photographer, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, in the Sarasota Herald-Tribune Community Room, 1741 Main St., Sarasota. Admission is $10 for SAF members and $15 for nonmembers.
Cassway will discuss the late architect Louis Kahn. Cassway was a student of Kahn at the University of Pennsylvania.
Following the lecture, Cassway will be joined in a panel discussion by architects Carl Abbott and Peter Lizon.
In the early 1960s at Yale, Abbott organized several workshops for his 15 master’s classmates with Kahn at the University of Pennsylvania. Lizon studied on a university fellowship under Kahn at Penn.
