A 6,221-square-foot waterfront house in northwest Bradenton sold Thursday at its list price of $2.8 million, the highest price along the Manatee River since November 2013, according to Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
Martha Marlar of Premier Sotheby’s represented the seller of the property at 2416 85th Street N.W.
Wendy Ross of Re/Max Alliance represented the buyer. Marlar took over the listing in March 2014.
In Skylee Pines at the confluence of the Manatee River and Tampa Bay, the house has five bedrooms, five full baths and two partial baths.
Rebuilt in 2009, it has a two-story foyer with circular stairs, 14 French doors, a Roman-style infinity pool, and custom furnishings and finishes that include a copper soaking tub, imported Perrin and Rowe hardware, French limestone, Australian cypress wood, travertine marble, onyx and granite.
Built in 1985, the house is on 1.38 acres. According to Manatee County property tax records, it has 5,289 square feet of living area and 7,308 total square feet.
The property, which has a tennis court and a limited view of the Sunshine Skyway bridge, sold for $2.4 million in 2007. A boat dock extends into Tampa Bay, and a small marina is nearby to the west. The DeSoto National Memorial is a quarter-mile to the east.
