Three local real estate firms rank in the top 150 nationally in sales volume, according to the REAL Trends 500 survey of the top U.S. residential sellers.
Volume is the total of the sales prices of transactions, on either the listing or selling side, for the year.
With approximately $3.4 billion in 2014 closed sales volume, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, based in Naples, ranked No. 31, up from No. 37 in last year’s survey. It was No. 1 in Florida.
Michael Saunders & Co. of Sarasota ranked No. 47 with volume of $2.2 billion. Re/Max Alliance Group of Sarasota is ranked No. 144 at $1.14 billion.
Premier Sotheby’s closed more than 4,450 — No. 147 nationally — closed transactions in 2014 at an average sale price of $798,000, or year-over-year increases of 21 percent, and 9 percent, respectively.
Saunders led the region in sides — representing either the buyer or seller — with 6,429 closed transactions, No. 68 nationally. Re/Max Alliance Group was No. 112 with 4,817 sides, and Re/Max Anchor & Affinity Plus in Punta Gorda No. 277 with 2,306 sides.
REAL Trends 500 is an annual research report which identifies the country’s largest and most successful residential firms as ranked by closed transaction sides and separately by closed sales volume. The report represents a standard of measuring the performance of the nation’s leading realty service firms.
Premier Sotheby’s has 24 offices on Florida’s Gulf Coast, including Sarasota County and Lakewood Ranch, and in the Carolinas. Saunders has 19 offices from Boca Grande to Bradenton.
