DWY Landscape Architects of Sarasota has been named to Ocean Home magazine’s list of the “Top 50 Landscape Architects 2016.”

The inaugural list represents “the finest landscape architects practicing today in the United States,” said editor Andrew Conway.

Other firms on the list include such renowned firms as Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture, ArquitectonicaGEO, EDSA, Olin Studios Philadelphia and Thomas Balsley Associates. The list is featured in the April/May 2016 issue of Ocean Home, which also celebrates the magazine’s 10th year in publication.

“The Ocean Home 50 includes some high-profile names, but also an array of lesser-known yet equally masterful landscape architects creating exceptional designs for coastal homes from Hawaii to The Hamptons,” said Conway.

A week ago, DWY, headed by principal David W. Young, was chosen by viewers of HGTV as the overall winner of its Ultimate Outdoor awards.

The firm was founded in 1999. It is known for designing modern landscapes with a "clear connection to each project’s site and architectural style," Young said.
